The PCS(J) Exam is conducted by State Public Service Commissions (like UPPSC, MPPSC, HPSC, etc.) to recruit Civil Judges (Junior Division).

  1. NationalityMust be a citizen of India.
  2. Educational QualificationMust hold a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a university recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI).Both 3-year LLB (after graduation) and 5-year BA LLB are valid.

    Final-year law students (awaiting results) in some states are also eligible to apply, subject to proof before interview.

  3. Age LimitGeneral Category: 21 to 35 years (varies slightly by state).Age Relaxation:

    OBC: +3 years

    SC/ST: +5 years

    PwBD: As per state rules

  4. Attempts
    No fixed attempt limit in many states; attempts are restricted by maximum age.
